United Academy of Martial Arts in Miami, Florida was established in 1996 by Master Elkin Pabon. The
school's emphasis is more than just self-defense; it is self-improvement. Through the development of
self-confidence, self-discipline and respect, students choose resolution and avoidance techniques rather
than confrontation.
Our carefully designed children's program develops self-discipline, self-confidence, respect and selfdefense.
Positive reinforcement along with traditional martial arts training and discipline enhance the
student's Tae Kwon Do experience. Students are not only required to master the Tae Kwon Do
techniques, but they are also required to meet the expectations of good behavior, schoolwork and other
household chores as assigned by their parents and teachers. Master Pabon regularly checks with the
students' parents and teachers to ensure that these expectations are consistently being met.
Our adult program is designed to focus on stress relief, physical fitness, self-defense, self-confidence and
respect. Whatever your reasons for joining our martial arts training program, through the development
of proper breathing, flexibility, and physical conditioning students find themselves doing more than they
thought possible.
In addition to traditional Tae Kwon Do training, we also offer the opportunity for further personal
growth through membership in one of the following programs:
• Black Belt Club

• Mixed Martial Arts/Extreme Martial Arts (MMA/XMA)
• Fitness Cardio Kickboxing

Afterschool Program
o Convenient transportation from local area schools (Coral Terrace Elementary, Flagami
Elementary, and Sylvania Heights Elementary)

o Program is available Monday - Friday until 6:15 PM
Summer, Spring & Winter Break Camp/Teacher Planning Day Camp
o Available from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
o Weekly field trips, TKD training, age appropriate activities
o Students must bring their lunch and snacks
Parents Night Out
o Fun-filled evening for kids and a great "date night" for parents
o Age appropriate drills, activities, games & pizza party!
Birthday Parties
o 2 ½ hours of safe, age appropriate and exciting martial arts drills, exercises and games
available for up to 20 guests.
o All decorations, activities and party clean-up is provided by the Academy. Parents only
need to bring the birthday cake, sit back and enjoy the party.
o Birthday Child is given the opportunity to slice their birthday cake with an authentic
Samurai sword!
